My First Art Museum

I did it! I checked another thing off my goals list for 2024!

I had a solo date last Thursday to visit an art museum! I was very nervous to go by myself because I have not gone many new places completely by myself. But that is something I want to get better at doing this year. I want to feel comfortable trying new things all alone.

I loved taking my time to stroll through the various galleries admiring all the different styles and genres of art they had displayed.

Something that really stuck out to me as an artist or aspiring artist was that art has no rules. Of course I know that but to actually go to a gallery and see so many different styles and techniques displayed gives me hope and confidence in my own art. At times it is easy to tell myself that my art is not good enough or that it is not worth the same as everyone else’s but that is so far from the truth.

The true beauty of art and artistic expression is that anything goes. In my mind it is a representation of ultimate freedom.
