Melting into Oblivion

The scalding water pours over me, clogging my eardrums

I close my eyes and focus on my breath

My heartbeat is drowned out by the rushing waterfall

Steam rises from my skin as my temperature increases

My thoughts melt away with my flesh

I leave my mind and body behind

I am lost in the darkness

I no longer worry
