My Peacefully Perfect Day

Today was as close to a perfect day that I have experienced in a very long time!

I woke up around 9:15 am and spent about 15 minutes on social media before deciding to get up and make my bed. I then brushed my teeth and did a light face of makeup. I made a breakfast of avocado toast, a banana and grapes that I ate on my back porch while I did my journaling for the day. The temperature was perfect and there was a gentle breeze.

We have a tree swing in our backyard on the top of the sand dune so I decided swinging for a little bit was exactly what I needed after breakfast. Then I grabbed my library books, my emotional support water bottle and journal and headed to the library. Of course blasting my music with the windows down the entire way.

I put my earbud in before going into the library and played soft instrumental music to accompany me on my adventure. I looked around for a while procuring four books to take home and actually read this time! I was in the mood for thriller/horror so that is exactly what I got.

After the library I went to the dollar store and got a few things for myself as well as a treat for my cat. Right next door is a flower shop so I went in and put together a bouquet of flowers just for me! I have only ever bought myself flowers one or two times before but it brings me so much joy every time. I highly recommend!

Then I was on a mission to find new rings to add to my ever growing collection. As a person that wears rings on almost every finger everyday it is necessary to have a large selection! I stopped at two small vintage shops and was able to find five new rings that were exactly what I was wanting. After that I had to stop and get gas…you know mature adulting things. I of course took the scenic route past the lake and breathed in the fresh summer air.

On my way home I once again blasted my music…this time with the windows up and the A.C on! At home I found a vase for my flowers and arranged them to my liking. They now sit on my bedside table next to my stack of journals and books. My sister made me an iced brown sugar latte with oat milk so I sipped on that as I sat on my bed admiring my flowers.

I plan to spend the night (after I finish writing this post) journaling, listening to music, writing out my agenda for tomorrow and possibly finding a movie to watch. And finishing my vegan quesadilla I made for supper.

I am so very grateful for days like this when I can do the things that bring me joy. I have been at peace all day and intend to hold onto it as long as possible.

Thank you for reading! Leave a like it you enjoyed and follow for more! I post every Tuesday and Wednesday!
