Everybody loves a perfect happy ending. Trust me I am no different. But recently I have come to appreciate the imperfect or even unhappy endings. Wether they are in my real life or in fiction. My appreciation is not because I feel they are more realistic but because they are almost more satisfying in a weird sort of way. Yes, they can frustrate me to the point of spending way longer then normal thinking about them, at least the fictional endings. But I think that an imperfect ending every once in a while can be a good thing. We may not like it or it may make us sad or even mad at first but ultimately those endings are the ones that we learn from. Those endings are the ones that shape us as a person. Imperfect endings are the kind that give us the tools and knowledge to move forward and prepare for the next beginning.
We go through life hoping, praying, wishing for the ultimate perfect ending. But we experience smaller perfect and imperfect endings all the time. Like when you leave a job or a relationship ends or someone passes away. Life is filled with endings of all kinds. I think we should all make it a point to go through life appreciating all endings wether good or bad. Either way they are giving us the lessons and experiences we need to carry on and attempt to make sense of this life and world we live in.
